In 1976 Rod joined the U.S. Marine Corps retiring in 1996 as a Master Sergeant. During this time he was trained in leadership, management, sales, public speaking and computers. In 1988 Rod was assigned to be a Recruiter in San Diego CA when the use of computers was limited to the Admin and Personnel sections, not Recruiting. Being an innovator, Rod introduced the idea of a national database that could be shared by all offices and was assigned to the development and impementation team. He became the National Trainer for the system and it is still in use today.
One of the main things he learned while a member of the Marine Corps was attention to detail, which he still carries with him today has served him well in his web development, marketing and search engine optimization business. Rod has been making a fulltime income from his online endeavors since 1996.
Rod moved to Kansas City in 1997 and became a web developer 'by accident' when he created a website. A friend asked if he could make one for him and what would it cost, Rod's Networking Services was born.
Since it's inception, Rod's Networking Services has changed with the times by adapting and adopting to whats popular or needed by customers in the ever changing arena of the Internet.
Rod has done consulting for some of the Fortune 500 companies as well as conducting seminars on Sales, Marketing and Goal Setting. He is a published author both in print and electronic media specializing in Internet Marketing. He currently resides in Spokane Wa with his wife Becky.
